Municipal Public Sewer System Infiltrations
Challenge:
A local mid size municipality uncovered numerous instances of infiltrations into their public sewer system. The increased volume of liquid into the system ultimately causes a higher processing cost. The problem is many locations were not accessible via normal excavation and repair procedures. The problem was further complicated due to the fact that these problems are located at the sewer taps and would need to be reinstated if it got covered up by a point repair. In addition, some instances were located within a residential area and it would be impossible to “disconnect” these neighborhoods from the sewer during any excavation repairs.
Solution:
Pipepatch "No Dig Pipe Repair" – Kleen Pipe installed 8 point repairs ranging from 4"-15" over the course of about 6 days. At no time was any sewer customers inconvenienced nor was any traditional excavation required.
