Large Culvert Clean-out in Dallas / Fort Worth

Challenge:

A local Dallas / Fort Worth municipality in conjunction with TxDot was experiencing major drainage issues that was a result of massive silt collection that had accrued over a number of years under a major roadway. The adjacent properties and often times the road way would see excessive amounts of water standing during and subsequent to major rainstorms.

Solution:

KP proposed vacuuming and flushing the collected silt out using one of our 100 gpm Combination Cleaners and away from the bottleneck. This would require additional man effort to get through the built up silt using high pressure water and vacuum. Access to the under side of the bridge and culvert was restricted and too small to being in any heavier excavation equipment. This project lasted about 10 days and the work was successful in preventing the water from backing up and has prevented any further associated traffic and property issues.
